Do you like simple, fun, and comfy games?? Do you enjoy staying warm and cozy but don't always want to read a book or watch a movie?? Do you know your skills and love to express them?? Do you like trying new things and having friendly competition??

 Express Your skills is the game for you! This game is a happy mood booster with an ongoing background theme of coziness and comfort. Settle down on your couch with a soft blanket and a hot tea, listen to the soothing background music of the game, and have some relaxing fun with your friends and/or family. Use your skills and bring up your best performance in a fun and frolic manner from the comfort of your own home. With its laid-back rules and warm, happy vibe, Express Your Skills is open to many iterations up to you and your feelings. Practice the skills you possess by choosing to make them essential for the game or try something you haven't before. Choose to make the game more laid back or decide to make it more competitive. However you choose, this game is genuinely enjoyable, easy-going, comfortable, and fun. Enjoy the game and believe in yourself.

To Prepare

1.  Choose a relaxing and calm space in your house with family or friends; you can choose a room where you feel at peace, your favourite couch, or anywhere you are most comfortable. Add some optional supplies to help get you in a cozy mood. Grab a nice warm drink to focus better. 🍵

Learn the Basics

Objective- the goal of this game is to gather players together in a comfortable space and play a friendly, relaxing game that also contains many aspects of fun and laughter. Although there is a winner, this is an amiable, cozy, and enjoyable game to play and does not require much thought. It is more about freedom of the mind and exploring new skills.

Game Sheet Explanations

Skill Sheet- each round consists of players choosing their preferred skill. Choose a skill from the list in your comfort zone, or challenge yourself and try something new and fun! Players can choose different skills from one another, or are able to choose the same skills and challenge each other in each round. Players may also choose the same skill throughout the game. 

Voting Sheets- players are to vote together on one of the topics listed. This is what they will use their skill to demonstrate for each other and the leader. The number on the sheet coincides with the round. Voting Sheet 1 will be used with round 1 and so on. 

Feedback Sheet- the chosen leader is to start the game off by filling out each feedback sheet with the player's name, and skills chosen with rounds. The leader will mark off a number from 1-10 in the chart after the players have finished their performances, as well as leave a friendly comment in the designated section. This score will then be transferred to the Score Sheet.

Score Sheet: the leader is to fill out the score sheet at the end of the game, or during each round with the scores from the feedback sheet and the chosen topics for each round. At the end of the game, the scores will be added together and the winner will be announced!

1. Out of your 3 players, choose one leader. The leader of the game will be the judge of the two players' performances/ works throughout the game

2. Distribute the game sheets among the appropriate players and the leader.  Each player starts with one skill sheet. The leader starts with all 3 voting sheets, both feedback sheets, and the scoresheet. 

3. Start listening to the music of the Youtube playlist. Be aware of your surroundings and of your comfort. Throughout the game, remember to continue enjoying your cozy atmosphere. Take sips of your hot drink.

4. To begin, each player is to choose one skill from the Skill Sheet, this will be your skill throughout the round. Let the leader know out loud what you chose. 

5. The leader will start by filling out the player's individual feedback sheet with their name and chosen skill for round 1. 

6. The leader will then show the voting sheet in correspondence with the round. 

7. The players are to vote together on one topic from the voting card. This will be the word they are to describe using the skill they chose. For example; Drawing animals. Then tell the leader which topic they chose. 

8. The rounds do not have time limits, however, keep in mind the game is to be played in conjunction with the playlist. 

9. Once both players have completed their performances/ works of art, the leader will rank them on the feedback sheet from 1-10 and add some friendly feedback. The leader is to also fill out the scoresheet where necessary.

10. After finishing round 1, follow rules 4-9 for rounds 2 and 3.

11. After finishing all rounds, the leader announces the winner of the game. 

Remember to have fun, take your time, step outside your comfort zone, and stay relaxed, warm, and comfy.
